ToggleHow to know if your Motorola supports eSIM
To check if your Motorola supports eSIM, you can do it directly from the device. Simply review the phone’s settings or dial *#06# to confirm in seconds.
To check compatibility from the Settings:
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Tap on Mobile Network or SIMs > If you see the Add eSIM option, it means your Motorola is eSIM compatible. If this is absent, your Motorola device is not eSIM compatible.
To check compatibility by dialing the code *#06#:
- Open the phone app on your Motorola > Dial *#06# > A pop-up will display > If the EID code appears, your device is eSIM compatible, allowing it to connect to carriers without an external SIM; If it isn’t displayed, then your device is not compatible.
To keep in mind
- eSIM compatibility can depend on the country where your device was manufactured. Be sure to verify this information before purchasing or setting up your eSIM.
- Some carriers may lock devices to restrict the use of other eSIMs. Check with your carrier to confirm that your device is unlocked.
