Is the Huawei P20 eSIM compatible?
The Huawei P20 series, including the P20 Lite and P20 Pro, is not compatible with eSIM and only supports physical SIM cards. However, newer models such as the Huawei P40, P40 Pro, Mate 40 Pro, and Pura 70 Pro do support this technology.

You can check if your Huawei supports eSIM right from your device by reviewing the phone’s settings or dialing *#06# to confirm in seconds.
To confirm that the Huawei P20 doesn’t support eSIM from the settings:
- Go to Settings > Go to Mobile Networks > Go to SIM Management > If you don’t see the option to Add eSIM at the bottom of the screen, your phone is not compatible with eSIM.
To confirm that the Huawei P20 doesn’t support eSIM by dialing *#06#:
- Open the Phone app > Go to the keypad > Dial *#06# > If you don’t see the EID code, your Huawei isn’t compatible with eSIM.

- You can use your eSIM on another compatible device.
- Save your eSIM for your next trip, it doesn’t expire and can be used later on any eSIM compatible phone.
