An eSIM (embedded SIM) is a digital SIM card that can be installed directly on your smartphone or other mobile devices. It’s an alternative to the physical, removable SIM card you’re used to.
Check if your phone is unlocked by inserting a SIM card from a different carrier than the one you normally use. If your phone picks up a signal, it’s unlocked.
On an iPhone, you can confirm it by following these steps: Go to Settings → General → About → Scroll down to "Carrier Lock" → It should say "No SIM restrictions.

Once you purchase your eSIM, you’ll receive a confirmation email with the QR code immediately.
The days start counting when you activate data roaming on your phone.
Therefore, the plan's days will begin counting down when you activate the eSIM, not when you install it

We recommend installing the data plan a few hours before your trip. You can print your QR code if you prefer or have it on another device as a precaution.
To install your eSIM, you need an internet connection. The setup is immediate, and you’ll have access to your data plan right away.
Just remember not to activate it until you reach your destination.
In most cases, your Free Roaming eSIM offers maximum speed coverage (4G/5G), just like any local data line. However, keep in mind that in areas with limited coverage, your phone might connect at lower speeds.
Some of our eSIMs have this feature enabled. Before making your purchase, read the description in the Technical Specifications tab of the eSIM you plan to buy and check if it allows data sharing.
In certain cases, yes. Carriers have a global regulation known as the Fair Usage Policy.
This regulation may be activated for a maximum of one (1) day to manage internet traffic and ensure that all users have an efficient connection.
This measure is not controlled by Free Roaming, but don't worry! If this policy affects you, the restriction will be lifted the next day, and you'll regain your plan's original speed.
Your WhatsApp account will remain unchanged, keeping your usual number. There's no need to configure anything. As long as you don't set up a new account, you'll keep your existing one with the same number.
At Free Roaming, we understand that our users may encounter unforeseen circumstances after making a purchase. Therefore, you can request a refund in the following situations:
– You purchased the eSIM without verifying your phone’s compatibility.
– You canceled your trip or no longer need the eSIM.
– Our eSIMs generally work flawlessly, but if you experience connection issues, we can provide a full or partial refund.
Once the refund is approved, you’ll receive the money in the same account you used for payment. This process can take between 5 to 10 business days.
