1. How to check if my phone is eSIM compatible by dialing *#06# Code?
The easiest way to find out if your phone supports eSIM is to dial *#06# from your phone app. If you see an EID (Embedded Identification Document) on the screen, your device is ready for eSIM use. This method works for both Android and iOS.
2. eSIM compatibility check in your mobile settings
Checking if your device is eSIM compatible is quick and easy, you can do it directly from your phone’s settings. Below, we explain how to verify eSIM compatibility on both Android and iOS.
To check if an iPhone is eSIM compatible:
- Go to Settings > Tap on Cellular or Mobile Data > If the “Add eSIM” option is available, your iOS device does support eSIMs.
To check if an android device is eSIM compatible:
- Go to Settings > Choose Connections > Select SIM Manager > If the “Add eSIM” option is available, your phone is compatible.
3. Check the updated list of eSIM compatible phones
To check if your device supports eSIM, review the updated list of Free Roaming-compatible phones. Follow these simple steps to quickly confirm if your device is on the list:
- Go to freeroaming.io > Scroll down to the section How does our eSIM card work? > Tap the Check it now button > Search for your device brand or model.

- eSIM compatibility can depend on the country where your device was manufactured. Be sure to verify this information before purchasing or setting up your eSIM.
- Some carriers may lock devices to restrict the use of other eSIMs. Check with your carrier to confirm that your device is unlocked.
