Is the Huawei P30 eSIM compatible?

The Huawei P30 series, including the Lite and Pro models, does not support eSIM, only physical SIM cards. However, Huawei has made progress in this area, and models like the P40, Mate 40 Pro, and Pura 70 Pro now offer eSIM compatibility.

In this guide, we’ll show you how to check if your phone is compatible and what to do if you already have an eSIM but your device doesn’t support it.

How to check if your Huawei P30 PRO is eSIM compatible?

You can check if your Huawei supports eSIM right from your device by reviewing the phone’s settings or dialing *#06# to confirm in seconds.

To confirm that the Huawei P30 doesn’t support eSIM from the settings:

  • Go to Settings > Go to Mobile Networks > Go to SIM Management > If you don’t see the option to Add eSIM at the bottom of the screen, your phone is not compatible with eSIM.

To confirm that the Huawei P30 doesn’t support eSIM by dialing *#06#:

  • Open the Phone app > Go to the keypad > Dial *#06# > If you don’t see the EID code, your Huawei isn’t compatible with eSIM.
